Kathi and her team had five good weeks at the Sunshine Tour in Spain.
The Tour started with a fourth place in the CSI3* 1.45 Grand Prix for Umeunig Z after a double clear round, and two weeks later the two won their first Grand Prix together when they went to the top in the CSI3* 1.55 Grand Prix after an extremely fast jump-off.
Kathi's hugely talented 6-year-old Casper J & J Z also did a fantastic job, and jumped outstanding all the way through the tour. First he qualified for the 6-year-old final after producing the necessary seven clear rounds, and then he again jumped a double clear round in the 1.35 final to finish 7th after a jump-off that counted 29 horses.
The 9-year-old Z Canturana has also showed consistency, and despite being quite green she has jumped one clear round after another in the 1.40 classes to get more milage.
Kathi’s 8-year-old Con Air Z has also made a huge step, going from jumping 1.35 youngster classes to the CSI3* 1.45 Grand Prix classes.
Also Kathi’s two students Carmen Christiaansen and Silvia Foppiani did some very good rounds during the tour – and the five weeks gave a great opportunity for both the riders and horses to gain experience
