It was quite a weekend for Kathi, and her horses Charlie and Lacontino at the five star show Saut Hermès in Paris. On Saturday Kathi and Charlie ended third in the 1.60 team competition Les Saut Hermès, where Kathi partnered up with German rider Christian Ahlmann on Cornado II. With two clear rounds in the second round of the competition, the couple climbed up the ranks to end third.
On Sunday Kathi continued to impress with excellent riding in the Grand Prix – producing one of only four clear first rounds aboard Lacontino, who is going from strength to strength with Kathi. Unfortunately a pole fell in the jump-off when Lacontino threw in an unexpected buck to take away the perfect distance to the vertical ahead, but Kathi was nevertheless very happy to be third behind the fantastic and fast combinations Marcus Ehning on Cornado NRW and Patrice Delaveau on Kathi’s former ride Lacrimoso HDC.
