March’s last five star show for Kathi and her horses was Indoor Brabant in Den Bosch. With her Kathi brought B Once Z, Charlie and Lacontino. On Friday Charlie did two fantastic rounds in the 1.50 class with a winning round – ending second after a blistering fast jump-off, showing that he indeed can be very dangerous against the clock. B Once Z warmed up in the 1.40 with a time penalty.
On Saturday B Once Z did an impressive clear round in the 1.55 Grand Prix qualifier, but in the jump-off two poles fell towards the very end of the course as the distance into the combination was not ideal. The time was the second best of the competition though, and it was good enough for a ribbon.
On Sunday Lacontino jumped the Rolex Grand Prix, and yet again he showed his quality. Unfortunately a light rub on the front pole on the third oxer caused it to fall, and there was no jump-off this time. Still Kathi was very happy with Lacontino as he shows such consistent form!
