Kathi had a fantastic conclusion to her weekend at the CSIO5* event in Mannheim, as she aboard Zipper jumped two amazing clear rounds in Sunday’s Grand Prix to finish third behind the medal winning combinations Ludger Beerbaum on Chiara and Beezie Madden on Cortes C. “That I could end on the podium next to Ludger and Beezie, well that is something I feel really proud about," Kathi said afterwards.
This was only Kathi and Zipper’s third show together, and their first big Grand Prix – but the two have already made a bond.
Lord Larry 4 also had a fantastic show. Liane Müller’s eight year old gelding jumped clear and was placed in both qualifications for the youngster tour final, and in the final he was double clear again – doing a blistering fast jump-off to finish second. The only one who could beat Kathi was world no. two Daniel Deusser.
Umeunig had yet a good show, and jumped two out of his three 1.45 classes clear and was placed. Kathi is very happy with his development, and is looking forward to the future with this special chestnut stallion.
